Salute To The Blues ", donde descargaron el clasico " I´m
Betting on a Cause and Cure " tocando el " Killing Floor "
sera " Honkin´On Bobo ".
de " Rugrats Go Wild ".

D Nada.
STEVEN TYLER: Rock's bigmouth on shoplifting beef, losing $50,000 bets and
putting his hot daughter to work.
You're finishing up an 11-week tour with KISS. How have the after-show
parties compared to those in 1977? There is no after-show party. Our
rider still has green M&M's but there's a little less Jack Daniels. We bring
our own cook too; I'm on a salmon diet. It's about longevity. I don't want
to look stupid and fat onstage. I want to be able to sing and kick ass. Whatever
[Aerosmith guitarist] Joe [Perry] throws at me, I want to be able to knock
right out of the park. It's still about blowing the first band off the stage
and being as cool as you can without trying too hard.
Have you walked in and caught Gene Simmons rifling through the sofa
for lost change? Gene is a smart guy. He's a businessman first and
a rocker second. Gene and Paul Stanley both managed to build their houses
on bad reviews and they still sell out shows.
Before Aerosmith's comeback with 1987 Permanent Vacation, did you consider
caking on the makeup or coming up with some similar gimmick? No, man.
We put on a smile and went out and kicked ass. Before then, we were neck-deep
in everything. When you're a rock star on the road, anything goes, and we
got caught up in it. We started out as professional musicians dabbling in
drugs and wound up being professional drug addicts dabbling in musicianship.
It doesn't work. It steals your soul.
What's the sickest thing you've seen go down at a party? A girl
waving her wooden leg at me, asking, "What do you think about this for 'Sweet
Emotion'?" I filled it up with beer and drank until I couldn't walk.
Back in 1970, the newly formed Aerosmith lived together under one roof
in Boston. How were your living conditions? We had no money. Our existence
was meek and meager. We stole food and did whatever we could to get by. Nobody
would hire us because we didn't play "WoolyBully" and all the crap everybody
was playing in clubs. We kept to what we were creating ourselves, which led
us to the first album, which led us to this interview.
Do you have any tips for budding shoplifters? If you're going to
steal red meat, stick it down your pants. That way it'll be half-cooked by
the time you get home.
Which Aerosmith song do you wish you never sang? If I had to pick?
One day it's "Angel," the next it's "Dude Looks Like a Lady." You get tired
of playing them after the 6,559th time.
How does a band stay together for 33 years and not suck? I can't
imagine being on Where Are They Now? telling people how great I once was.
You have to take your work seriously, but not yourself. Keeping your nose
to the grindstone sharpens your boogers.
Have you had any near-death experiences onstage? Before I got my
first piercing, Joe Perry pierced my cheek for me. When he'd string up a guitar,
he'd leave about a half-inch of string at the end of the neck instead of cutting
it really short, so the neck had all these little barbs sticking out of it.
One night I plowed right into it. Blood was blowing out of the side of my
mouth. It also made my fat lip even fatter.
Aren't you sick of the very sight of Joe Perry by now? No. There
are two Joe Perrys: The one who lives a mile from my house, and the one who's
an animal onstage. Away from the stage, we go hang-gliding and water-skiing,
shoot machine guns and ride our Harleys. Onstage, he's the real deal. What's
there to get sick of? There aren't many people like that. Once you realize
your band is such a machine, you get protective of it and try to keep it alive.
I have a 500-horsepower Mercedes-Benz SL55 and it pales in comparison to what
this band's got.
When you cast Alicia Silverstone in the "Crazy,""Cryin'" and "Amazing"
video triumvirate, did you realize you were creating something magnificent?
Of course we did! I thought she was hot. And she was perfect. At the end
of 'Cryin', when she jumps off the bridge and gives them the finger, that
said it all right there.
What does it feel like casting your daughter in a sexy video role? Like
the right thing at the right time. Believe me, Liv underplayed it. We had
to do a lot of editing on that video. She was beautiful. Is having a beautiful
daughter payback for a life of rock excess? I think that's the payoff. Look,
I'm blessed. I have Mia and Liv, a daughter named Chelsea, my son, Taj, two
peacocks, 20 chickens, a dog with a blue eye and a green eye named Lucky,
a cockatiel named Knuckles and my cat named Pooka. I'm a very happy man.
Speaking of happiness, how many breasts do you estimate you've seen over
Aerosmith's 33 years? Thousands. It certainly makes the night worthwhile.
What's the fondle ratio on that? I tweaked as many as I could. There is nothing
better than having a nice radio to tune in. These days I live vicariously
through the front row--you can look but you can't touch. It's a beautiful
thing to see them flashing their tits, singing a song or getting off so much
that they don't care what they do.
What's the craziest encounter you've ever had with a fan? In
Japan, I bet a guy $50,000 I could go around a sushi bar and eat everything.
There was stuff living in tanks that looked like someone's armpit. I threw
up before I could make it all the way around, and I lost the bet. I had to
fork over 50 grand.
Finally, you're old enough to be our dad: What advice do you have?
Don't squat with your spurs on.

Aerosmith Get The Blues On New Album
Band covers blues classics for next album, recorded live. by Jon Wiederhorn
Aerosmith (Photo: Columbia)
Don't expect Aerosmith's new album to feature radio rockers like "Jaded,"
classics such as "Walk This Way" or ballads in the vein of "Angel" because
the band has developed a case of the blues. In the next month, Aerosmith will
enter the studio to record a disc of mostly blues covers with a few new originals,
confirmed the band's publicist. Aerosmith will co-produce with Jack Douglas,
who worked on the group's early records including 1974's Get Your Wings and
1975's Toys in the Attic. The as-yet-untitled new record will likely include
the band's take on Blind Willie McTell's "Broke Down Engine," Little Walter's
"Temperature" and the Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters' classic "I'm Ready."
The band is currently rehearsing these and around seven other tracks in Perry's
home studio in Boston while waiting for construction to be completed on their
new Boston-area recording studio. Aerosmith plan to record the songs live
to capture the energy of the band's onstage performance, and they'll put their
own rock spin on the tracks, which should make them accessible to more than
just blues purists. Guitarist Joe Perry will likely sing lead vocals on at
least one track. The disc is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall.
Aerosmith will begin a summer and fall tour with Kiss on August 2 in Hartford,
Connecticut. (see "Aerosmith, Kiss Tour Dates Announced").
